Petition Intent

"To the Honourable Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives:

We, the undersigned, are concerned that veterinary students undertaking compulsory clinical placements can experience significant financial hardship because these placements may require substantial unpaid work and associated costs.

We therefore request that the House of Representatives take action to provide financial support for veterinary students undertaking compulsory clinical placements, including by calling on the Australian Government to introduce appropriate paid-placement support.
